Let's talk about carpet cleaning.
The first thing we should talk about is your carpet. Did you know the average lifespan for carpet is only 10 years? That means if you're carpet is older than that you should probably look into replacing it.
The biggest air filter in your house is......your carpet! Everything that comes into your house through the air is caught by your carpet. All the allergens, microbes, pollutants, dust, dust mites, etc are caught by your carpet. Like any other air filter it needs to be cleaned at regular intervals.
As a homeowner you can vacuum once to twice a week, depending on the foot traffic, and generally keep your carpet reasonably clean. If you have pets we recommend every day because of pet hair and dander.
We also recommend at least once a year, twice if you have pets, calling us for a professional carpet cleaning.
Why wouldn't i just go rent a rug doctor?
Good question, here's a great answer. A rug doctor doesn't have the heat, vacuum or deep cleaning ability that professional carpet cleaning machines have. A rug doctor gets heat from your indoor water faucet, which tops out at 120 degrees. We use a minimum of 180 degrees which is required to sanitize surfaces. Without getting into sheer numbers the vacuum power of a rug doctor doesn't come close to that of a professional carpet cleaner.
Here at Xtreme Clean Carpet Cleaning, we go one step further and use the Rotovac 360i rotary deep cleaning machine to clean your carpet all the way to the pad. It also restores the nap and pile of your carpet making it feel and look brand new.
